Margaret Worth: Art Projects Concept + ArtistsTeam Manager collaborating with Patricia Les, architect SACON. Artists Team: Julie Blyfield, Martin Corbin, Marijana Tadic, Greg Johns, Louise Haselton, Andrew Stock. A Concept for the development and upgrading of the two schools and their communities. The project required a responsive and collaborative process, undertaken between the design professionals, the staff, students and their extended families. Art for art’s sake was seen as inappropriate in this context. Instead, art and design works were developed with the community and their sense of place and identity was integrated throughout the infrastructure and amenities. The project won national and state awards including the national Sir Zelman Cowen Award for best new public building, national Community Environment Art and Design Award, Civic Trust Award and BHP Award among others.
