Adelaide Arrive: Air & Rail Entrance to Adelaide SA
Margaret Worth: Art Projects Concept + ArtistsTeam Manager collaborating with Land Systems EBC and the Hassel Group. The project was assisted with funds from the Australia Council, federal, state and local governments. Artist-Designer Team: Sherry Rankine Kaurna artist, Leslie Matthews, Sandy Naulty, Martin Corbin, Vaughan Greene, Sasha Stojanovic and Roger Noakes. The project pioneered collaboration between artist-designers and landscape architects, transport and traffic engineers on planning and design for the major roadway entrance to the city. The design-art works were conceived to introduce the story of change and development in a chronological sequence along the road. They can be read in either direction and include early wetlands, to farm lands, commerce, industry and subsequently to an urban residential area. They story components are integrated into the bus shelters, sound barrier walls, pavements and feature works. The project was developed with Land Systems EBC, and management of the artist team was undertaken by Margaret Worth for development and implementation of the individual artworks.
